At the Met Gala, Megan Thee Stallion really said no-phone policy, who?
The Grammy-winning rapper was among the many A-listers in attendance for fashion’s biggest night in New York City, stepping out in a custom Michael Kors gown. After ascending the steps of the Metropolitan Museum, she made her way inside the event, which is typically known for its secrecy.
While Vogue‘s Anna Wintour has a no-phone policy inside the Met Gala, Megan decided to still give her fans a peek at the night’s cuisine. With the help of fellow rapper Doechii and basketball star Angel Reese, the trio offered their review of the food in a video shared on Megan’s Instagram. “Hottie Cam in thee MET GALA,” she captioned the post.

First up was cornbread and caviar. “I like it!” Doechii said, as Megan added, “I said it was good. She didn’t believe me,” pointing to Reese.
Also on the menu were white truffle lobster roll, vegan lox, curry chicken bites and hamachi sushi. “I love that!” Doechii said about the white truffle lobster roll, while Megan wasn’t the biggest fan of the vegan lox.
“We’re not supposed to have our phones,” the rapper later said in the video, as a laughing Tracee Ellis Ross added, “Not at all. Put your phone away.”
“I snuck the phone inside,” Megan admitted, sharing a few additional clips from inside the event. “I’m not supposed to have this.”
The Met Gala, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual fundraiser, celebrates the Costume Institute’s spring fashion exhibition. 2025’s exhibit, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. To adhere to the theme, guests and celebrity stylists were tasked with interpreting the accompanying dress code: “Tailored for you.”
Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams served as co-chairs for this year’s event, alongside Wintour and honorary chair LeBron James (who couldn’t attend due to a knee injury).
